الخصائص المورفومترية والهيدرولوجية لحوض وادي المسيد بليبيا - وتسخيرها في تنمية الموارد المائية

The study of drainage basins is of great importance when examining water resources, due to its significant role in determining the water balance and storage capacity of dams, as well as managing and planning the water uses provided by those basins. Additionally, studying floods and how to deal with them requires an examination of those basins and their networks to their fullest extent within the basin. Morphometric study is considered one of the important foundations in geomorphological studies that address landforms. One of the most important and notable findings of the study is that the equations used to calculate water infiltration through the soil yield unrealistic and unconvincing results; it is unreasonable for the water infiltration to be (4 m³) over a vast area of (285.74 km²). Therefore, it is not appropriate to use them in the study area at least. Harvested floodwaters can be considered an alternative water resource to groundwater, providing water suitable for various uses for most days of the year.
