This paper deals with the problem of sewage pollution in Ali Omar Askar Hospital for neurosurgery which are used after treatment in the irrigation of some green areas inside the hospital  land.

The aim of the research was to determine the concentration of some of the most important pollutants in treated wastewater at the site under study. And to assess their conformity with international environmental standards and standards for irrigation. The study was based on conducting the tests of wastewater before and after the treatment processes, which included the following Analyzes and measurements:

: - Measure the concentration of oxygen biologically required (BOD)  , - Chemical oxygen concentration (COD)

- Measuring the concentration of total solids (TDS, TSS, pH and T).In addition to microbiological analysis

The results of the treated wastewater samples showed a significant increase in BOD, COD, and TSS suspended solids, Where it was (238, 558, 1660) mg / L respectively,

They exceed the allowable limits for irrigation according to WHO standards, which have been set at  10 mg / L

The soluble solids whose concentration in treated wastewater samples (3720) mg / L exceeds the international limit for irrigation (2000) mg / L according to WHO specifications .  pH and temperature measurements were below the permissible limits (pH 6.03) and (T 23 ° C) according to WHO specifications for pH (pH8) and (T 30ºc)

The results of microbial analyzes conducted on wastewater samples treated and used  in hospital irrigation showed very high bacterial growth (100 CFU).These indicators indicate the presence of pollution at high levels on the soil receiving wastewater, as well as negative health and environmental impacts .
