القربان البشري عند شعوب الشرق القديمة
إن الإنسان وعبر مراحله التاريخية لجأ إلى تقديم القربان تارة خوفاً من غضب الآلهة وإرضاءً لها، وتارة نراه يقدم القربان كي تستمر الآلهة في منحه من خيراتها، حيث تعددت أساليب التقرب من الآلهة، ابتداءً من المحاصيل الزراعية ووصولاً إلى فلذات الأكباد حيث قام الإنسان بتسييل دماء أبنائه تقرباً للآلهة
